POSITION SUMMARY:
Advanced Energy is currently seeking Electrical Design Engineering Interns and Co-Ops to support development activities across our North American design sites. Successful candidates will carry out their internships at Advanced Energy’s sites in Colorado, Minnesota, Massachusetts, or California. They will work with an experienced engineering team, closely collaborating on the development of high-performance, precision, efficient and cost-effective power conversion, metrology, or controls solutions. Only post-graduate candidates will be considered for summer and school-year internships. Candidates should be actively pursuing degree programs at one of the following institutions: University of Colorado, Colorado State University, University of Minnesota, Northeastern University, San Jose State University, Stanford University, or University of California-Berkley.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidates may perform and support design activities related to any of the following:
Active participant in a core team to meet schedule, cost, and customer satisfaction goals
Assisting in the development, testing, and de-bugging of prototype power supply units
Analyze test data and reports against functional and performance specifications
Interfacing with internal departments to ensure cost and schedule goals are met
Circuit design of analog and digital circuits, EMI filters, and power circuits
