Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to support our engineering team in the development and maintenance of safety-critical products for the railroad industry. This internship is ideal for students with foundational electrical engineering knowledge who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a regulated, high-reliability environment. The intern will work closely with experienced hardware and electrical engineers on projects that directly impact rail safety and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems used in railroad safety-critical applications.
Support engineers in schematic reviews, PCB layout verification, and documentation aligned with industry safety standards.
Perform basic electrical measurements and diagnostics using lab equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies).
Help maintain lab organization.
Participate in design reviews
Document test procedures, results, and assist in preparing technical reports.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on product safety, reliability, and maintainability.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Basic understanding of electrical circuits, components, and safety procedures.
Interest in working with safety-critical systems and learning about regulatory standards.
