SALARY: Variable, based on appointment. LOCATION Requirements : This is an in-person, on-site position, at the Multi-Cultural Center, and surrounding area. BENEFITS: Up to $300 hiring bonus* external candidates only 401(k) 3% match LSS offer training for medical interpretation Employee Recognition Employee Assistance Program RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide professional in-person interpretation (verbal and/or written) across the Sioux Falls area Provide translation services with written documents across the Sioux Falls area Conduct pre-session communications with clients and non-English speakers Receive and review session briefings prior to interpreting Deliver real-time, face-to-face interpretation , accurately translating spoken statements both ways Active listening skills to interpret intent and context effectively Professional demeanor , respectful of cultural differences and special needs QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Must meet all requirements to be qualified to apply for this position. Residency near the Sioux Falls, SD area is required. Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered For medical interpretation assignments, interpreters must meet applicable health screening, vaccination, and medical examination requirements established by assignment locations or partner organizations.
