Job purpose
Perform audits and maintain documentation of the material and inventory movement, as well as processes in the procurement, subcontracting, manufacturing, and warehousing areas. Assist and facilitate process improvement projects to ensure the company maintains accurate records of the perpetual inventory system across all business systems and locations.
Duties and responsibilities
All Tokyo Anime Centers – Pull, Pack, transfer, shipment
Local Tokyo Anime Center - Gashapon inventory fulfillment, receiving, troubleshooting, EOM deposits
Collect and maintain KPI audit data, shipping, receiving, locational, & WI
Continuous improvement plans with use of KPI results, assist manager to benchmark project improvements and effectiveness
Collect and analyze inventory & transactional information, identify root causes, and provide feedback on areas that need improvement
Identifies and documents gaps in workflow, with cross reference to process and procedure
Assist manager with annual physical inventory planning, periodic cycle counts across all business divisions and location
Facilitate ME counts with production areas, NCC & PL
YE inventory Concord, Gashapon
Engages with all departments to build a continuous improvement culture
Inventory Adjustments Requests, Inventory Requisitions, Scrap Authorizations
Help desk requests from all locations with transactional / inventory concerns and issues
Organize and Maintain work instructions, processes and procedures
Travel to other plants and TAC stores as necessary
Training, Instruction, Information sharing Cross train with IPI Specialist – PA & Gashapon
Travels to all business locations for meetings and driving process improvements as needed
Performs other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned by supervisors.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business/Operations Management, Engineering or a related field, or 5 years of related experience preferred.
3 years of experience working in the manufacturing/distribution environment
Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing/Kaizen continuous process improvement-related training or certifications
Proven experience in process optimization, inventory management, or related roles.
Experience in driving business process change and improvements
Continuous and unrelenting effort to improve systems and processes
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work collaboratively across departments
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and presentation skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data
Strong Excel, ERP, and other database/analytical software
Problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
Self-driven individual with the motivation to grow
Change management expertise with the ability to lead and influence others
