Job Summary Synechron is seeking a Java Backend Lead to lead a team of Java developers and deliver high-quality, scalable backend applications and systems. The role focuses on Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, RESTful services, databases, and cloud-enabled solutions. The Java Backend Lead will translate business requirements into technical solutions, guide development activities, resolve technical issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support innovation. The role contributes to business objectives by delivering reliable Java-based solutions for large enterprise environments while maintaining quality, scalability, performance, and delivery standards. Software Requirements Required Software Skills Java: Extensive knowledge of Java programming and related technologies; experience developing and maintaining Java-based applications and systems. Spring Boot: Hands-on experience developing backend applications and services using Spring Boot. Microservices: Practical experience designing, developing, integrating, and supporting microservices-based applications. RESTful services: Experience designing, developing, consuming, and maintaining REST APIs. Databases: Experience working with databases, data access, SQL, transactions, queries, and database integration. Cloud computing: Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and their application to Java and microservices solutions. Agile and Scrum: Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum. Development versions: Experience working with the Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST, database, cloud, and development tool versions used by the assigned Synechron project. Preferred Software Skills Experience with multiple Spring modules and persistence technologies. Familiarity with containerized microservices and orchestration platforms. Experience with API documentation, service monitoring, centralized logging, and application performance tools. Knowledge of automated testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and deployment automation. Familiarity with event-driven architecture, messaging systems, or distributed application patterns. Advanced certification in Java development or a related technology discipline. Equivalent tools and technologies may be considered where they provide comparable capabilities. Overall Responsibilities Lead a team of Java developers and support high-quality software delivery. Provide technical direction, mentoring, task guidance, and code-review support to Java development team members. Develop and maintain Java-based applications and systems. Design and implement scalable, efficient, secure, and maintainable Java solutions that meet business requirements.
