Job Overview
The Junior Guest Relations Officer supports senior officers in delivering high-quality guest services. Key duties include greeting guests, assisting with embarkation/disembarkation and check-in/out, handling inquiries and requests, coordinating with onboard departments, managing reservations for services, maintaining guest records, supporting complaint resolution, providing information about ship facilities and schedules, and upholding guest-service and hospitality standards.
Experience Required
Often no extensive experience is required; employers may accept fresh candidates or those with minimal hospitality experience. Background in hospitality or customer service is an advantage.
If experience is required, it should be in hospitality, guest services, or similar customer-service environments. Expected skills include strong communication (often English plus additional languages), multicultural guest interaction, basic guest-relations knowledge, familiarity with reservation systems, and solid service standards. Good interpersonal skills, teamwork, and a problem-solving attitude are essential.
