Role Summary We are looking for a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, bookkeeping, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting activities. The role will involve maintaining accurate accounting records, monitoring receivables and payables, preparing payment documentation, and coordinating with customers and vendors for accounting-related requirements. Roles & Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping and accounting records. Assist in preparing MIS reports and periodic financial reports. Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable and follow up on outstanding balances. Support cash flow management by providing relevant payment and collection information. Prepare payment sheets in accordance with the company's payment policy and approval process. Assist in preparing data and supporting documents for TDS and GST return filing. Conduct periodic ledger scrutiny and identify discrepancies, missing entries, or incorrect postings. Perform bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations as required. Coordinate with customers and vendors for invoices, statements, payment confirmations, and other accounting documentation. Verify invoices and supporting documents for accuracy before processing. Maintain proper documentation and records of accounting transactions. Assist senior members of the finance and accounts team with month-end and year-end closing activities. Ensure accounting activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and applicable statutory requirements. Support the finance team in other accounting and administrative activities as required Requirements Educational Qualification Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Candidates with B.Com, M.Com, or a related relevant degree are preferred. Experience 0–2 years of experience in accounting or finance. Freshers with relevant academic knowledge and internships may also be considered. Required Skills Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping. Understanding of GST, TDS, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic accounting software/ERP systems. Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Good reconciliation and analytical skills. Ability to maintain proper documentation and records. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work within deadlines and follow established financial processes.
