Junior Data Engineer - Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d)

We are part of Tieto, a leading technology company with an annual revenue of approximately EUR 2bn.    Tieto Tech Consulting’s team in Bulgaria consists of 500+ professionals specializing in the development of tailored digital solutions in diverse industries.  Key responsibilities  Building and maintaining data pipelines using Databricks, SQL, Python, and PySpark Supporting the migration of existing data processes and legacy solutions to modern cloud platforms Transforming, validating, and reconciling data from various business systems Contributing to Lakehouse solutions based on Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers Helping ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability Troubleshooting and supporting existing data pipelines and integrations Working closely with senior engineers, architects, analysts, and customer teams Participating in Agile development processes and team ceremonies Learning and applying engineering best practices, including version control and automation Continuously developing your technical knowledge and expertise in modern data technologies Required experience & qualifications  Good understanding of SQL Basic experience with Python Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration processes Exposure to Databricks, Apache Spark, or PySpark Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate in a team environment Professional working proficiency in English A significant advantage would be Experience in data engineering, software development, analytics, or a related area Familiarity with Azure cloud services Understanding of Lakehouse architecture or Delta Lake concepts Experience using Git Knowledge of CI/CD practices Experience with Power BI or reporting solutions Understanding of banking, finance, or other regulated industries Azure or Databricks certifications At Tieto, we believe in the power of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
