We are currently looking for a Junior Estimator to join our Estimation team in Maynooth.
Responsibilities:
Analyse project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Prepare tender submissions, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), and procurement schedules.
Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labour expenses.
Assess and manage risks associated with potential projects.
Assist in value engineering and cost-control exercises during project execution.
Maintain a database of cost information and assist in post-project reviews.
Update and manage estimating database on varying construction costs and material fluctuations
Report weekly and monthly data and information to site teams, key stakeholders and partners
Maintain a professional image for the company in all dealings with public and stakeholders
Other ad hoc duties that the Company may require from time to time
Requirements
A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying , Construction Management , Engineering , or a related field.
Previous experience in estimating roles within the construction or manufacturing sectors.
Strong knowledge of Irish construction standards, procurement processes, and building regulations.
Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Causeway , Buildsoft , Cubit , CostX ) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
