We are looking for a Junior Java Developer to support and enhance applications serving Gas Transmission and Midstream (GTM) Commercial Marketing, Business Development, and Customer Service Operations. What You Will Do: Develop, enhance, test, debug, and support software solutions for GTM commercial business applications throughout the software development lifecycle. Partner with business users to understand functional and data requirements, assess existing processes, and recommend effective technology solutions. Independently lead the design, development, implementation, and testing of moderately complex software solutions while managing increasingly challenging technical assignments. Proactively identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, and functionality, and drive the resolution of technical issues with guidance from senior team members as required. Collaborate with developers, quality assurance analysts, business partners, and other cross-functional teams to align solution designs, clarify requirements, prevent software defects, and support successful implementation. Serve as a technical resource for new team members by providing guidance on development environments, standards, operational processes, application functionality, and component architecture. Support business and client priorities by ensuring development activities and technology solutions are appropriately aligned with business needs and expected outcomes. Who You Are: University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, along with 2 or more years of web application development experience. You have hands-on development experience with technologies such as Java, web services, CSS, XML/XSLT, HTML, JavaScript, JUnit, and Oracle SQL. Experience developing and implementing web applications using N-tier architecture, along with knowledge of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, Spring framework, data structures and algorithms, multithreading, synchronization, and performance tuning.
