We, on behalf of our partner, are looking for a Junior Technical Support & Operations Engineer to join their technical operations team. The role is ideal for an early-career professional or final-year student with a strong interest in IT systems, databases, networking, and IoT technologies.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of their technology solutions by monitoring systems, investigating incidents, analysing logs and database information and assisting more experienced engineers with technical troubleshooting and customer support.
This is a hands-on role offering exposure to IoT platforms, connected devices, cloud systems, networking, databases and real-world infrastructure deployments.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1st Level Technical Support for platform , connectivity and device-related issues
Monitor system health , services , device connectivity and platform activity
Investigate incidents using logs , monitoring tools , database queries and system information
Perform basic SQL queries to retrieve, validate and investigate operational data
Identify inconsistencies or anomalies in data and escalate issues when required
Perform basic network and connectivity diagnostics, including IP, TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, ports, and connection testing
Monitor and investigate IoT device communication and connectivity
Assist with the configuration , testing and deployment of IoT devices and sensors
Analyse application and device logs to identify potential causes of incidents
Maintain accurate incident records and technical documentation
Follow established troubleshooting procedures and escalation processes
Assist with technical checks during pilot deployments and field installations
Communicate with internal teams and, when required, provide technical guidance to customers and partners
Contribute to improving troubleshooting procedures, documentation, and monitoring processes
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, ongoing studies or technical education in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field
1 to 3 years of experience in technical support, IT operations, networking, databases, or a related technical environment (We could also examine a strong graduate, who is willing to learn)
Strong interest in IT systems, IoT, networking and technical troubleshooting
Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Ability to understand and work with logs and structured technical data
Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking and connectivity concepts
Analytical mindset and willingness to investigate problems systematically
Good attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in data or system behaviour
Ability to learn new technologies and technical systems quickly
Good communication skills in Greek and English, written and verbal
Comfortable working collaboratively with more experienced engineers and cross-functional teams
