Position Overview: As our Junior Weld Engineer – Process Improvement & Development you will assist welding operations by supporting the development, refinement, and optimization of welding procedures, documentation, workflows, and welding-related continuous improvement initiatives. Focus is placed on evaluating welding processes, supporting welder qualification documentation, and contributing to lean-driven improvements Location: Cambridge, ON Your Day to Day as our Junior Weld Engineer – Process Improvement & Development Welding Documentation & Development Assist in preparing PQRs and WPS documentation. Support identification of welding-related resources, tooling, equipment, consumables, and QA requirements. Process Improvement & Lean Application Participate in welding process flow analysis, bottleneck identification, cycle-time reduction, and value stream activities. Support KPI tracking and improvement trending within welding operations. Non-Conformance Support Assist in reviewing and resolving welding-related non-conformances under supervision. Tooling & Equipment Support Aid in designing welding tooling and fixtures, including basic strength checks or FEA support as trained. Assist in equipment procurement and maintenance tracking for welding assets. Training & Shop Support Provide training on welding processes you become familiar with.
