In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for assisting with maintaining a clean kitchen area & equipment to comply with food safety guidelines, preparing food, and supporting our Chefs under their supervision to ensure efficient service delivery of food. The Kitchen Hand will be based predominantly in the Eureka 89 kitchen and will spend large periods of time on their feet, be exposed to heating elements, work in tight confined spaces, and wet/slippery environments. The shifts may involve irregular hours and extended working periods. They will also be required to lift and move stock weighing up to 20kg, as well as conduct repetitive actions in line with normal culinary duties. You may be required to work any of the seven days of the calendar week and gazetted public holidays. A standard working day can consist of up to 10 working hours, within the hours of 07:00hrs and 01:00hrs. Unfortunately, the business is not able to provide any sponsorships at this time.
