We’re searching for a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our environmental laboratory team in Reading, PA .
In this role, you’ll be actively engaged in daily laboratory operations, supporting critical testing through sample preparation and accurate documentation within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). You’ll work hands-on with laboratory instrumentation, contribute to quality and compliance initiatives, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-organized laboratory environment. This position offers the opportunity to strengthen technical expertise, collaborate with an experienced team, and directly contribute to reliable, high-quality results that support essential laboratory operations.
What You’ll Do
Perform sample preparation of environmental samples following established laboratory methods and procedures
Accurately enter, review, and maintain sample preparation data within LIMS
Perform routine quality control activities associated with sample preparation processes
Follow SOPs, QA/QC standards, safety protocols, and chain-of-custody procedures
Support laboratory workflow, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with laboratory team members to meet sample throughput and turnaround time objectives
Assist with housekeeping, glassware cleaning, and inventory management activities
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Previous hands-on lab experience gained through employment, internships, research projects, or academic coursework
Experience working in fast-paced, high-throughput environments strongly preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer applications
