leaching & Electrowinning Metallurgist

Job Description Job Purpose: To provide metallurgical oversight of the leaching and electrowinning circuit, optimising recovery, product quality and process performance. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and optimise leach and electrowinning process performance (recovery, current efficiency, reagent consumption) Conduct metallurgical accounting and mass balance for the circuit Investigate and resolve process performance issues in conjunction with Production and Maintenance Support test work and process improvement initiatives Ensure the quality control sampling and analysis programme is followed Provide technical training and support to shift teams Report metallurgical performance to the Technical and Quality Superintendent Qualifications: Essential: Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related field Experience: Essential: 5+ years' experience in a hydrometallurgical (leach/solvent extraction-electrowinning) processing environment Prior antimony-specific experience is not required - equivalent experience in copper or other base-metal hydrometallurgical operations is acceptable. Desirable: Experience with metallurgical accounting or mass balance software Skills / Competencies: Essential: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Process optimisation experience Communication and training skills
