leaching & reagent operator

To operate the leaching circuit and manage reagent dosing and handling, maintaining target leach conditions safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Operate agitated leach tanks and thickeners per standard operating procedures Prepare, dose and monitor process reagents (e.g. sulphuric acid, reductants) to target set-points Monitor pH, temperature, density and other leach parameters, adjusting as instructed Handle and store reagents safely in line with HSE and COSHH/MSDS requirements Take and label process samples for lab analysis as required Report abnormal conditions to the Team Leader promptly Maintain accurate shift logs and housekeeping standards Position Requirements Qualifications: Essential: Secondary education; basic process/plant operations training Experience: Essential: 2+ years' experience as a process operator in a leaching, hydrometallurgical or chemical processing environment Prior antimony-specific experience is not required - equivalent experience in copper or other base-metal hydrometallurgical operations is acceptable. Desirable: Experience with reagent/chemical handling and COSHH procedures Skills / Competencies: Essential: Ability to follow SOPs and safety procedures precisely Basic numeracy for dosing calculations Teamwork Alertness to abnormal conditions
