Job Summary The company is looking for a Lead Analyst to head its Business Analytics Unit – the engine behind the trade intelligence products our clients rely on to make sharper, faster decisions across both lines of business: retail execution and trade intelligence. This is a rare opportunity to own intelligence products from end to end: understanding what clients need, setting the statistical and measurement approach, running data collection and the data pipeline, and delivering the dashboards, reports, and insights that clients act on. You will go beyond reporting the numbers to providing actionable insights, while leading and developing a small analytics team and helping our commercial team grow the business. Key Responsibilities Intelligence Product Development & Delivery Spearhead the development of new intelligence products for market, working alongside the management team, the commercial team, and the directors. Partner with the commercial team to understand each client's business problem, then conceptualize and design the ideal reporting environment to solve it. Design intelligence programs end to end, defining the methodology and parameters: market sizing, sampling, data collection, measurement, and the reporting environment. Ensure every product is statistically sound and fully defensible. Own the entire reporting and analytics function, including the development of dashboards and intelligence products, providing actionable insights that drive strategy. Adhere to industry best practices to ensure simplicity, visual appeal, and ease of navigation. Present new dashboards to internal stakeholders and clients, providing training, user support/helpdesk, and monitoring usage. Data Integrity & Pipeline Management Manage the resources needed to collect data on time from all sources, including field auditors in the trade, the Central Statistical Office, the Port Authority, and other public or paid sources. Manage the flow of data from third parties and technology providers to feed and enrich the data pipeline. Manage the flow of data from collection through to the reporting layer, with quality control and validation built in at every stage, so that the data behind every report is reliable. Ensure data is stored securely and handled in line with privacy requirements, that access is controlled and appropriate to each role, and that protections are in place against breaches and malicious attacks. Model best practice for the team. Analytics & Insights Interpret complex data and draw out the actionable insights within each report, explaining not just what the numbers show but why they matter. Turn insights into clear, practical recommendations that help clients act with confidence and achieve their goals. Technology & Resource Coordination Manage relationships with technology providers to ensure the unit's tools remain fit for purpose and keep pace with evolving business needs.
