Lead AV Installation Engineer
London | Permanent | Competitive Salary + Overtime
Are you a really strong AV Installation Engineer who's ready for a bit more?
Maybe you're already the person people turn to on site. You know how a good installation should look, you're confident solving problems when things don't quite go to plan, and you're happy helping less experienced engineers when they need it.
If that sounds familiar, this could be a really nice next step.
Rafferty Resourcing is working with a fantastic commercial AV business in London that is growing its technical team. They're looking for an experienced engineer who can still get stuck into the technical side of the job, while taking more of a lead when it comes to the people and projects around them.
The role:
No two projects will be exactly the same, but you can expect to be:
Working on commercial AV installations across London
Taking ownership of your work on site
Supporting and guiding other engineers when needed
Building and wiring AV racks
Installing and connecting AV equipment
Carrying out cable terminations
Working confidently with a range of AV systems and technologies
Identifying and resolving technical issues on site
Working alongside other technical and project teams
Making sure the finished installation is something you're genuinely proud to put your name to
What are we looking for?
You don't need to tick every box, but you'll need to be an experienced commercial AV engineer who knows their way around an installation.
Ideally, you'll have:
Several years of commercial AV installation experience
Strong practical AV knowledge
Good rack building, cabling and termination skills
A good general understanding of audio, video and networking
Confidence troubleshooting problems on site
Experience working on larger commercial AV projects
The confidence to help or guide other engineers
A professional approach when working on client sites
Relevant industry/site qualifications would be useful
A driving licence would be advantageous
Where could it take you?
If you want to keep developing technically, you can. If you enjoy leading people, taking more ownership of projects or moving further into the delivery side of AV, there's room for that too.
There is genuine scope to progress as the business grows, and for the right person this could become much more than simply another installation role.

If you're an experienced AV Engineer thinking I'm ready for the next step, this is absolutely worth a conversation.
