General Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lead Hardware Engineer to join our engineering team. This role will focus on the design, coordination, and documentation of hardware systems for industrial and building automation control projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electrical and control system design, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders including vendors, design teams, and fabrication partners.
Specific Responsibilities
Design & Coordination
Lead design coordination efforts between internal engineering, project management, and client teams.
Coordinate prefabrication activities to ensure designs are ready for efficient build and installation.
Manage design review processes, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
Participate in and lead regular project coordination meetings with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
IO & Documentation Management
Define and manage I/O (Input/Output) requirements for control systems.
Generate and maintain I/O tables for all project phases.
Create equipment datasheets and ensure proper documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop and maintain register mapping for field equipment communicating to PLCs.
Vendor & Stakeholder Communication
Act as primary point of contact for vendor coordination regarding hardware specifications, lead times, and technical clarifications.
Review vendor submittals for compliance with project requirements.
