Lead Engineer - Java & React/Next.js

Role Summary As a Lead Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the technical strategy, design, and delivery of core Customer Account Management applications that support enterprise customer lifecycle and data management capabilities. You will be responsible for building and modernizing scalable software solutions — including backend services, APIs, and customer-facing front-end components — designed for performance, reliability, and cloud-native scalability. This role requires strong expertise in system design, integration, and full-stack development, with a focus on developing intuitive, responsive applications across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will write clean, efficient code using Java, Spring Boot, React/Next.js, and modern web technologies, while ensuring adherence to engineering best practices, testing standards, and operational excellence. You will maintain a deep understanding of enterprise systems and data flows, working closely with cross-functional teams — including Product Owners, Business stakeholders, and Cloud/DevOps teams — to design and implement complex business rules, validation logic, and data integrations. The role also involves leading modernization initiatives, migrating legacy platforms to cloud-native architectures, and driving improvements in CI/CD and DevOps practices. Assignments often span multiple initiatives and require independent technical decision-making, with accountability for delivery quality and timelines. You will mentor and guide engineers across distributed teams (onshore and offshore), contribute to architectural planning, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards. Success in this role requires strong leadership skills, hands-on technical depth, and experience building scalable systems on cloud platforms such as GCP/Azure, along with a focus on reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.
