About the Role
As a Lead HIM Technician , you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Health Information Management (HIM) department. You’ll help ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within established service-level expectations while serving as a go-to resource for team members and supporting the training and development of HIM staff.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems, maintaining high standards for quality and confidentiality, and helping a team succeed.
What You’ll Do
Lead Daily HIM Operations
Monitor daily workflow and coordinate the processing of incoming chart requests, chart retrieval, chart re-filing, loose document filing, purging, driving processes, and shipment preparation.
Prioritize and adjust work assignments as needed to ensure daily processes are completed accurately and within established timeframes.
Monitor workloads and proactively communicate potential backlogs or operational concerns to management.
Serve as a first point of contact for team members with questions regarding day-to-day HIM processes and procedures.
