New Product Introduction Responsibilities Lead electrical NPI activities from concept through production launch, ensuring electrical manufacturing readiness and successful factory ramp-up across internal manufacturing sites and Contract Manufacturers (CMs). Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, BOMs, and component specifications for manufacturing feasibility, completeness, and production readiness. Drive electrical Design for Excellence (DFX), including DFM, DFA, Design for Automation, Design for Cost, and serviceability, with focus on assembly access, cable routing, bend radius, connector selection, termination, grounding, insulation, and electrical interfaces. Conduct virtual build reviews using 3D models and electrical drawings to identify routing conflicts, clearance issues, assembly sequence constraints, and potential manufacturing risks before physical builds. Lead and support prototype, pilot, validation, qualification, and production builds at contract manufacturers and manufacturing sites; capture build issues and drive timely closure with design and manufacturing teams. Assess the manufacturability of HV/LV distribution systems, busbars, cable harnesses, protection devices, control panels, connectors, grounding systems, and electrical interfaces. Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop assembly instructions, tooling and fixture requirements, torque specifications, crimping and termination requirements, inspection checkpoints, and electrical workmanship criteria.
