Lead Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead the housing design of our next generation charger, Motor controller Unit(MCU), DC to DC convertor and Vehicle controller unit (VCU). He will be working with the internal and external stack holders and responsible for all the mechanical design, simulation, development and testing of mechanical parts. Responsibilities Prepare the different mechanical design concepts for Charger, MCU and VCU e.t.c which meets size, functional and cost requirement. Design and own the different mechanical parts of metal, plastic and rubber. Execute the tolerance analysis, thermal analysis and vibration analysis. Work with the ECAD team and own the mechanical integration of a PCBA. Define the assembly process and sequence for the high volume manufacturing. Define the mechanical DVP tests and coordination with the T&V team for internal and external lab testing. Work with a mechanical parts supplier and provide them a technical clarification on the design and tooling go ahead. Work with suppliers for the Rapid prototyping (3D printing, Machining, silicon molding) for initial engineering build. Prepare and release all the mechanical design Artifacts (MCAD, MBOM, Part Drawing, Test Plan, Test Report, Analysis Report). Collaborate with cross functional team and will be a single point of contact for all mechanical related topics. Must-Have Requirements Hands on experience of minimum 3 mechanical casing projects from requirement definition to product release. Hands on experience on minimum 3 projects for the IP67 ratted automotive ECU casing design. 5+ yr Hands on experience on the solids works/AutoCAD Nice to have Thermal and Vibration Simulation.
