Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an Logistic supervisor to join our Ambernath plant Mumbai team. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company, the position will report to the Plant manager. This is a Onsite full time position . The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Supervise receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods. Ensure proper segregation, identification, and storage of materials as per GMP requirements. Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities with transporters and vendors. Monitor loading and unloading activities to ensure safe material handling. Maintain FIFO/FEFO inventory management practices. Ensure timely availability of materials to production as per production plans. Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Procurement, and Planning teams for smooth operations. Perform and monitor SAP transactions related to: Goods Receipt (GRN) Goods Issue (GI) Transfer Posting Stock Transfer Inventory Reconciliation Batch Management Dispatch Documentation Ensure real-time and accurate inventory transactions in SAP. Generate inventory, stock movement, and logistics reports from SAP. Support inventory audits and cycle count activities. Ensure warehouse and logistics activities comply with GMP, GDP, and company quality requirements. Maintain documentation as per GMP requirements. Ensure proper status labeling of materials (Approved, Quarantine, Rejected). Participate in GMP training programs and ensure team compliance. Support audits conducted by customers, regulatory agencies, and internal auditors. Assist in investigation and closure of deviations, CAPA, and change controls related to warehouse operations. Monitor stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy. Conduct periodic cycle counts and annual physical inventory verification. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Minimize inventory losses, damages, and obsolescence. Ensure compliance with EHS policies and safe warehouse practices.   Monitor safe operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts, stackers, and pallet trucks. Conduct safety inspections and promote a strong safety culture. Report and address unsafe conditions and near-miss incidents. Supervise warehouse operators and logistics staff.
