Role Overview We are looking for an experienced logistics professional to lead a centralized, technology-driven transportation function across multiple locations. The role will focus on TMS/LMS management, Central Logistics Control Tower, transportation planning, fleet optimization, vendor management, and dashboards to improve visibility, utilization, service levels, and cost efficiency. TMS & Central Control Tower • Lead adoption and effective utilization of TMS/LMS and logistics technology. • Manage centralized visibility of transportation operations, trips, exceptions, delays, and capacity constraints. • Drive system improvements, automation, data quality, and integration with ERP, GPS, and other platforms. • Coordinate with multiple locations and transport partners to ensure smooth operations. • Establish standardized processes, SLAs, and escalation mechanisms. Dashboards & Analytics • Develop centralized dashboards and MIS for transportation performance. • Track key KPIs such as transport cost, cost per trip/km, vehicle utilization, fleet productivity, turnaround time, empty running, on-time performance, and vendor performance. • Use data to identify improvement opportunities and support management decision-making. • Strong experience in Power BI, Excel, or similar analytics tools is preferred. Transportation Planning & Optimization • Lead centralized vehicle, route, trip, and capacity planning across multiple locations. • Optimize fleet utilization and reduce idle time, empty runs, underutilization, and avoidable transport costs. • Balance service requirements, capacity availability, and transportation cost. • Proactively identify capacity gaps and plan suitable transportation resources.
