Pay: Tech I: $20.00 – $23.00/hour | Tech II: $22.00 – $25.00/hour | Tech III: $25.00 – $29.00/hour LINX is hiring Low Voltage Technicians to build out structured cabling infrastructure on active data center construction projects, paying $20.00 to $29.00 an hour depending on level. Whether you're new to the trade or already terminating cable with no supervision, there's a defined path here from Technician I through Technician III and beyond. This is new-build construction work: running and terminating cable, building out MDF/IDF closets, and testing every run before it's signed off, on a crew that's standing up a data center's cabling infrastructure from the ground up. Where This Role Fits at LINX Technician I → Technician II → Technician III → Lead Technician → Foreman → Superintendent → Project Manager → Senior Project Manager → Program Manager → Operations Manager What You'll Be Doing Cable Installation & Termination Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cable Pull, suspend, fireproof, terminate, and test cable runs to BICSI standards, NEC, and local code Closet & Rack Build-Out Build, install, and maintain MDFs and IDFs, including racks, patch panels, wire management systems, and network hardware Troubleshoot low voltage cable systems as issues come up on site Quality & Documentation Document every installation for compliance with industry standards and project specifications Deliver organized, professional workmanship that meets spec on every run Customer & Site Professionalism Communicate clearly and professionally with site contacts to resolve technical issues Minimum Requirements Required — Technician I (applies to all levels): Able to work on ladders and use power tools; able to lift, carry, and set up a 50 pound box or ladder Must own a complete set of personal low voltage hand tools (snips, strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches) Available to work 2nd or 3rd shift, overtime, and under deadline pressure Must pass a 7 year criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance Professional working proficiency in English, written and verbal Required — Technician II (all Technician I requirements, plus): 1+ year of commercial low voltage installation experience Able to terminate a jack, pull cable, and work a 90-degree bend proficiently with limited supervision Can install, terminate, and test CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cabling systems proficiently, including with Fluke DSX-600/8000 cable certifiers Able to build out MDF and IDF closets — racks, patch panels, wire management, network hardware — with supervision Required — Technician III (all Technician II requirements, plus): 2+ years of commercial low voltage…
