Accredited by ABET and SACSCOC, Florida Poly is educating some of the brightest minds in Florida and attracting standout talent from across the nation.     JOB TITLE     Low Voltage/Network Technician     JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY     The Low Voltage/Network Technician serves as a core member of the IT Infrastructure team, reporting to the Director of IT Infrastructure Services. This hands-on role is focused on the installation, termination, testing, and maintenance of the University's low-voltage and network infrastructure, including Category 6/6A copper and fiber optic cabling, wireless access points, security cameras, network switches, and related equipment. The technician leads installation work with the team's student workers, ensures every job meets industry standards and University specifications, and partners with Network Engineers on deployments and strategic projects. The technician also supports ITS auxiliary services, such as residence halls, dining, and external partnerships. This role is ideal for a skilled, self-motivated, and hard-working installer who takes pride in clean, organized, and well-documented work. A positive attitude, a commitment to seeing tasks through to completion, and the ability to lead and teach others on the job are essential.
