Machine Operator

The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating packaging machines. Duties & Responsibilities: Operate the packaging machine monitoring overall performance, efficiency and quality. Perform equipment set up, start-up and shut-down. Clean and sanitize lines during changeovers from one product to another. Monitor machine performance to ensure product quality, consistency and conformity to company standards. Sort materials and supplies for packaging or filling machine operation. Replenish materials and supplies as needed. Perform minor machine adjustments as necessary. Notify the appropriate individuals if machine needs repair or maintenance. Enforce standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety regulations. Troubleshoot and resolve potential problems/issues within their line/s. Report all problems with the machine to maintenance/supervisor/lead/line lead as soon as possible. Keep everything clean and organized. Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as required for the position. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1+ years experience as a machine operator or related position. Skills & Abilities: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per day. Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
