About the team
The Baton Rouge Manufacturing team is responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient production of lubricants that support our customers and business. The Maintenance & Reliability team partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Safety to improve equipment performance, strengthen asset reliability and ensure the site can consistently deliver the production plan.
Key tasks
Lead the site maintenance and reliability organization, developing the team and creating clear accountability for safe work execution, equipment reliability and technical standards.
Own maintenance and reliability performance across mechanical, process, utility and facility assets, with a strong and visible presence on the plant floor.
Lead preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance strategies to improve equipment availability and progressively shift the organization from reactive toward planned maintenance.
Drive the elimination of chronic and repeat equipment failures through structured root-cause problem solving, equipment data and sustainable corrective actions.
Own maintenance work management, including work identification, prioritization, planning, scheduling, execution and closeout.
Use the CMMS as the site system of record to strengthen equipment history, maintenance plans, performance measurement and data-driven decision-making.
Manage maintenance expenditures, contractors, maintenance stores and critical-spares strategies to balance reliability, availability, cost and working capital.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Safety on production priorities, equipment improvements, capital projects, commissioning and Management of Change.
Experience required
7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing maintenance, reliability or engineering, including 5+ years of maintenance or reliability leadership with direct people-management responsibility.
Demonstrated experience leading skilled trades, maintenance technicians and contractors in a manufacturing or plant environment.
Proven experience improving equipment reliability, reducing recurring failures and moving maintenance organizations from reactive toward planned, preventive and predictive maintenance.
