About the role
We are seeking a Maintenance Technici an to support the upkeep of a portfolio of retail and residential properties across Toronto. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring the properties are maintained to the highest standards of safety, environmental responsibility, and operational efficiency. The position involves frequent travel between properties and requires the ability to walk significant distances daily.

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all common areas, including entrances, walkways, and facilities (e.g., snow removal, window cleaning, vacuuming, graffiti removal, floor cleaning, and waste disposal).
Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment and report maintenance requirements or repair needs to the Operations Supervisor.
Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks in residential units, including sink and shower repairs, breaker resets, light fixture replacements, and lock changes.
Perform preventive maintenance activities, including HVAC filter replacements.
Ensure contracted property services meet performance standards and contribute to a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.
Use the building management system (Angus Anywhere) to respond promptly to tenant work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
Conduct weekly inspections of vacant units and report any unusual conditions.
Assist with providing contractor access to properties and coordinate site tours as required.
Maintain inventory levels of tools, equipment, and supplies and provide recommendations to the Operations Supervisor.
Oversee third-party contractors to ensure work is completed in accordance with contractual requirements and purchase orders.
Complete regular utility meter readings.
What You'll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is preferred.
Experience in general building maintenance, basic repairs, and building systems operations.
Hands-on experience performing residential repair work.
Experience working with and/or supervising contractors is considered an asset.
Familiarity with Angus Anywhere or similar building management systems is considered an asset.
Working knowledge of health and safety procedures (e.g., WHMIS, Lockout/Tagout, fall protection, and mould remediation) is an asset.
