Maintenance Technician

The Opportunity: Avantor is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle day-to-day maintenance and repair of processing equipment, utilities, and the building. This is a full-time position located at our Paris, KY office. Work Schedule: • Training will be on the day shift for the first 90 days   How you will thrive and create an impact: Maintains the building electrical system and heating and cooling equipment. Performs maintenance such as doors, floors, docks, overhead doors, roof downspouts, product racks, materials handling equipment, and in-process equipment. Completes required reports when maintenance tasks are concluded. Answers security alarm calls as needed. Performs as part of a team. Performs other duties as assigned.   What we’re looking for: Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's or technical school preferred. Experience:  3 years of applicable direct experience in a similar position. Additional Qualifications: Skills in mathematics, personal computers, and related applications are vital. Interpersonal and communication skills are important. Knowledge of HVAC systems is required. Knowledge and experience with industrial electricity and electronics preferred. Knowledge and experience with pump and piping systems. Knowledge and experience with conveyor systems. Ability to utilize specialized tools such as welding, torching, bending, threading equipment, etc. Forklift experience preferred.
