Position Summary The Manager of Agrivoltaics provides strategic leadership, development support, education, and operational oversight for all agrivoltaic activities associated with Doral’s solar energy projects. This position serves as the primary connection between solar development, agriculture, livestock grazing, landowners, local communities, growers, grazers, contractors, and project management teams. The Manager is responsible for developing agrivoltaic programs from the earliest stages of project development through construction and long-term operations. This includes supporting land acquisition, community engagement, site engineering, public relations, agricultural planning, grazing programs, grower development, education, certification, mentorship, and apprenticeship programs. The Manager will oversee all agrivoltaic activities both inside and outside the solar project fence, ensuring that agricultural production and solar energy development work together successfully. A major responsibility of this position will be the development and management of the Agrivoltaics Education Block at Mammoth North, creating a working demonstration and training environment for current and future growers and grazers. Key Responsibilities 1. Development Team Support The Manager of Agrivoltaics will work closely with the development team during the planning and development of solar projects. Land Acquisition and Landowner Relations Assist the development and land teams with agricultural considerations during land acquisition and site evaluation. Evaluate existing agricultural operations, soils, livestock opportunities, cropping systems, drainage, fencing, water availability, and other agricultural resources. Meet with landowners to understand existing agricultural practices and identify opportunities to maintain or introduce agricultural production alongside solar development. Help communicate the long-term agricultural vision of agrivoltaic projects to landowners. Identify potential growers and grazers who may participate in future projects. Help develop agricultural transition plans for properties entering solar development. Community Meetings Participate in public meetings, landowner meetings, county meetings, community forums, and other stakeholder gatherings. Explain how agrivoltaics can allow energy production and agriculture to coexist on the same land. Present plans for sheep grazing, crop production, pollinator habitat, agricultural education, and other compatible agricultural activities. Address community questions and concerns regarding the agricultural use of solar facilities. Build relationships with farmers, livestock producers, agricultural organizations, schools, universities, Extension programs, conservation organizations, and community leaders.
