The AGA Africa Business Unit is seeking experienced and self-motivated persons to join our team. The Opportunity Join Geita Gold Mining Limited as the Manager, Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME)  within our Geita Division, a key role that contributes significantly to the operational success of our open pit mining activities. Reporting directly to the Director of Asset Management and Engineering, you will lead and optimise maintenance strategies designed to enhance the availability, reliability, and safety of our mobile mining equipment. Your leadership will be pivotal in ensuring that major services, rebuilds, and maintenance programs are executed efficiently and cost-effectively, supporting our mine plan objectives. This role encompasses responsibility for all major routine maintenance and rebuild activities for surface and underground mobile equipment. You will oversee workshops, including the welding and tyre bays, guaranteeing operational excellence and adherence to OEM standards. Your expertise will directly impact equipment lifecycle management, workplace safety, and the alignment of maintenance schedules with mining priorities. Key Responsibilities Champion a safety-first culture by proactively identifying, managing, and mitigating workplace hazards, while ensuring that all team members are competent and trained to perform their tasks safely. Provide strategic technical advice and leadership to maintenance leaders and trades personnel, fostering a high-performance maintenance team skilled in heavy mining equipment upkeep. Develop, review, and implement detailed scopes of work for major maintenance and rebuild projects, ensuring strict adherence to OEM standards and best industry practices. Lead warranty management processes, investigating premature equipment/component failures and pursuing claims to protect company assets and reduce costs. Maintain a comprehensive training register for maintenance staff, monitor skill levels, and implement on-the-job training programs aligned with evolving business needs.
