Position Summary Reporting to the Director, Priority Initiatives & Client Development, and based in Vancouver, the Manager, Profile & Client Development plays a key role in advancing the Firm's growth, market visibility, and client engagement objectives. The Manager develops and delivers strategic business development and profile-raising initiatives, with a significant focus on planning and delivering high-quality client events and programs. Combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution, the Manager works closely with the Director, Vancouver Office Managing Partner, and practice leaders to support go-to-market strategies, strengthen client relationships, and deliver high-impact initiatives that contribute to the Firm's profile and growth. The role also has responsibility for managing one direct report. Responsibilities 1. Strategic Planning & Market Positioning Support the development and execution of national and local business development plans, aligning efforts with firmwide strategy. Utilize internal firm data, external market intelligence, and industry trends to identify client and market growth opportunities and inform recommendations. Drive business development and profile-raising efforts through research and analysis. Support go-to-market planning, brand positioning, and messaging for new offerings, markets, or initiatives. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives to improve ROI and recommend adjustments as needed. Clearly communicate BD strategies and recommendations, adapting tone and level of detail based on audience. 2. Client Events & Programs Lead the planning and delivery of client-facing events, including seminars, webinars, conferences, receptions, sponsorships, roundtables, and continuing professional development (CPD) programs. Work directly with lawyers and stakeholders to develop creative and strategic event concepts that strengthen client relationships, enhance the Firm's profile, and support business development objectives.
