About our group:
The Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Group supports wafer manufacturing operations at Seagate’s Normandale campus in Bloomington, Minnesota. The team designs, develops, deploys, and supports the systems that manage factory execution, production workflows, dispatching and scheduling, manufacturing data, automation, and operational decision support.
We partner closely with Minnesota wafer operations, process engineering, industrial engineering, equipment engineering, factory control systems, and global IT teams. We also collaborate with our wafer manufacturing partners in Northern Ireland to deliver reliable systems, consistent practices, and scalable manufacturing capabilities.
About the role - you will:
Support factory-critical MES, dispatching, scheduling, and manufacturing optimization capabilities through day-to-day operational support, troubleshooting, and system enhancements.
Design, test, deploy, and sustain dispatch and scheduling logic that supports work prioritization, tool utilization, factory throughput, and cycle-time improvement.
Analyze manufacturing and system data to identify root causes, validate system behavior, measure results, and recommend improvements.
Develop and maintain data integrations, automation workflows, and decision logic that connect manufacturing systems and optimization platforms.
Partner with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Equipment Engineering, vendors, and global IT teams to define requirements and implement practical solutions.
Support new tool introductions, manufacturing flow changes, application upgrades, infrastructure changes, and controlled production deployments.
Create clear technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, test evidence, and training materials to improve support coverage and knowledge transfer.
Participate in incident response activities and follow issues through investigation, corrective action, validation, and communication with affected teams.
Balance operational support with strategic projects while managing multiple priorities, dependencies, and customer needs.
