About the team
The Baton Rouge Operations team is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering high-quality lubricants through a complex, high-SKU blending and packaging operation. The team works closely with Planning, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Logistics and other site functions to deliver the production plan, strengthen manufacturing capability and continuously improve site performance.
Key tasks
Lead Blending and Packaging operations across a complex, multi-line manufacturing environment, delivering performance across safety, quality, service and cost.
Translate production plans into disciplined daily and weekly execution, proactively identifying constraints and establishing recovery plans when performance deviates from plan.
Drive manufacturing performance through effective daily management, structured problem solving and continuous improvement, with focus on OEE, throughput, downtime, changeovers, labor productivity, waste and material losses.
Provide visible leadership for HSSE and Quality, ensuring compliance with operating procedures, work instructions, Management of Change (MOC), Control of Work and applicable regulatory requirements.
Build a capable and accountable Operations organization by coaching and developing frontline leaders and enabling teams to identify abnormalities, solve problems and sustain improvements.
Partner with Maintenance and Engineering to improve equipment reliability and strengthen Autonomous and Preventive Maintenance execution.
Collaborate across Planning, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality and Logistics to resolve constraints, optimize capacity and manufacturing flexibility, and deliver the production plan.
Manage operating resources and controllable costs while building a culture of continuous improvement, strong operating discipline and 5S.
Experience required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management or a related discipline.
10+ years of manufacturing or operations experience, including significant direct responsibility for manufacturing operations and frontline teams.
Experience leading a sizable, multi-shift manufacturing operation with multiple production or packaging lines.
Demonstrated accountability for production execution, safety, quality, service and cost within a manufacturing environment.
