Position Summary
Principal Responsibilities
1. Ensure high level of supplier quality performance, and take appropriate action plans for corrections with Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer and reach the Parts Per Million (PPM) targets. Recharge justified costs not under Teleflex responsibilty to suppliers. Reporting of PPM and Perfromance metrics towards the supplier. Responsible to schedule, forecast & purchase the right volumes of raw material for in-house production and subcontractor. 2. Define opportunities for cost reduction, validate them with Strategic Materials teams and implement them. All actions must be registered in Productivity Improvement Plan (PIP) system. Report Purchasing indexes and Profit & Loss effects (managed through the SD Action Plan Process and Std Cost Variance Reports / PPV) Perform operational activities of inventory management and supplier management to ensure smooth supply of good quality products and services. 3. Work closely with the Value Stream Teams and Planning team to support corrective actions due to supplier deviation in Misdeliveries Per Million (MPM) Manage all raw materials to ensure supply of material are in place and able to deliver efficient, effective, and flexible solutions to meet production requirements. 4. Be involved in the supplier selection and kick off in project phase to prepare the start of Production Manage purchasing activities to ensure purchased items are delivered on time to support the production schedule. 5.
