Material Handler

Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license required One to two (1-2) years of manufacturing-related experience required Twenty-four to thirty-six (24-36) months of on-the-job training required Must have valid driver's license Qualifications Dependability to be consistently at work and on time Basic reading and math skills, including knowledge of fractions and decimal computations Basic verbal/written comprehension skills Basic measuring skills using tape measure, micrometers, and/or calipers Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines A “Team” mentality Repetitive standing and/or bending capability during normal phase duties Medium/heavy (20-75 lbs.) lifting capability during normal phase duties Responsibilities Perform a safety evaluation of the assigned workstation and surrounding areas . Assist manufacturing lines as needed. Operate material handling motorized equipment (upon completion of in-house training/certification) to load/unload trucks and train cars. Assist maintenance personnel in a helper capacity. Perform workstation and surrounding area housekeeping tasks as required. Set and position machine dyes to comply with production specifications.
