Job Description:
At Saab in West Lafayette, Indiana, you have the opportunity to join a team that manufactures the rear section of the T-7A Red Hawk military trainer aircraft for the United States Air Force. The flagship facility utilizes advanced manufacturing techniques and leverages research and development to support Saab’s broad product portfolio.
Responsibilities may include:
Apply inventory concepts with guidance from senior material handlers
Apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine Inventory issues and assigned tasks
Utilize stockroom and production principals, techniques, and company standards
Receive all consignments including program and non‐program deliveries
Convey material from receiving dock to incoming inspection and to appropriate stock location
Convey non-production material to courier for internal deliveries
Pick, crate and configure materials for shipments
Perform all necessary transactions within ERP to receive and stock production material
Kit production and/or prototype material for release to production
Perform cycle count activities
Set‐up and perform movement of material between the company’s storage locations
Effectively use appropriate tools and computer skills
Contributes to a people-first culture in alignment to Saab values, demonstrating core Company values: Trust, Drive, Expertise and Support
Other tasks as assigned and authorized
Compensation: Starting Pay Rate - Up to $22.00 per hour

When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a high-performance team
Proven ability to multi-task, with strong attention to detail
Demonstrates reliability and dependability in support of team goals
Must be self-mobile and able to stand for extended periods
Ability to perform physical tasks such as consistent bending, stooping, twisting, grasping, gripping, standing, walking, kneeling, climbing, reaching throughout a normal workday
Ability to perform repetitive motions, and lifting up to twenty-five (25) pounds frequently, and up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion.
Ability to safely operate a forklift, after satisfactory completion of Saab certification
Ability to work extended hours and weekend overtime when required
Preferred:
2+ years of relevant experience is preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse tools, software and other technologies is a plus
Citizenship Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
