Job Title: Mechanical Estimator Work Arrangement: Onsite Location: Evansville, IN Employment Type: Full Time Engagement Type: Direct Hire Final Interview: Position Summary Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring a Mechanical Estimator on behalf of our client, a design, build and install contractor serving underground mining and heavy industrial operations. The estimator develops accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems and owns the estimating process from concept through final bid proposal, working with engineering, operations, procurement and project management to define scope, validate constructability and evaluate risk. Relocation assistance is available. Key Responsibilities Develop accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems supporting underground mining and heavy industrial operations. Manage the estimating process from concept through final bid proposal. Coordinate with engineering, operations, procurement and project management to define scope and validate constructability. Evaluate project risk, construction methods, safety requirements and work constraints within each estimate. Interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, specifications and vendor data to build estimates. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mining engineering (strongly preferred). 5+ years of project estimating experience in underground mining or heavy industrial environments. 10+ years in engineering, project planning and/or project management. Proven experience producing estimates for underground mechanical work packages. Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, specifications and vendor data. Knowledge of construction methods, safety requirements and work constraints. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel (cost models, pivot tables, lookups, rate builds and scenario analysis) and project management software such as MS Project. Must be authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
