YOUR MISSION
True Anomaly is seeking a motivated and hands-on Mechanisms Engineer II to join our Mechanisms team, reporting to the Mechanisms Engineering Manager. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, build, and test of precision motor-driven actuation systems for our orbital platforms. You will work across the full hardware development lifecycle — from concept and CAD design through analysis, fabrication support, integration, and test — and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment where your work directly impacts spaceflight hardware.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop precision mechanical components and assemblies for spacecraft actuation systems using CAD tools
Perform mechanical analysis including stress, fatigue, tolerance stack-up, and kinematic analysis to validate designs
Support the selection and integration of motors, bearings, gears, and other drivetrain components into mechanism assemblies
Generate engineering drawings, BOMs, and fabrication documentation to support manufacturing and procurement
Support mechanism assembly, integration, and test activities including functional testing, environmental test campaigns, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with motor control, avionics, and systems engineering teams to ensure mechanism designs meet system-level interface and performance requirements
Assist with trade studies and design reviews, contributing analysis and design documentation
Develop and maintain design documentation including specifications, test plans, and analysis reports
