We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant – Float to support Welcome Health’s clinical operations and provide coverage across our clinic locations as needed. This position will be primarily stationed at our Riverside clinic and will be expected to travel to our other Welcome Health clinic locations when additional staffing coverage or operational support is needed. This is primarily an in-clinic position and may also include supporting home-based patient care responsibilities as needed. What you will do Clinical Support Assist clinicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments in the clinic setting. Room patients and obtain vital signs, chief complaints, and medication history. Review and update medications, allergies, and relevant patient information in the medical record. Perform phlebotomy, laboratory draws, and other clinical tasks as needed. Perform patient screenings according to established protocols. Under the direction of a provider, support appropriate Medical Assistant visits, including vaccinations and procedures such as ABI, spirometry, EKGs, ear lavage, and other approved clinical procedures.
