The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Metrology Technician , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Performing scheduled calibrations, verifications, inspections, and basic maintenance of measuring and test equipment used in manufacturing and quality laboratories
Maintaining accurate equipment records, calibration certificates, labels, status, and due dates in the applicable metrology and Quality System records
Coordinating equipment availability with production, laboratories, and external calibration service providers to support on-time completion of the calibration schedule
Assessing calibration results, documenting out-of-tolerance conditions, and promptly escalating potential product or compliance impact to the Metrology Engineer and Quality team
Supporting troubleshooting, selection, qualification, and continuous improvement of measurement systems while following site procedures, safety requirements, and applicable quality standards
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Technical secondary education, post-secondary technical qualification, or higher education in metrology, mechanics, electronics, automation, mechatronics, quality, or a related technical discipline
Hands-on experience with measuring and test equipment, calibration, inspection, maintenance, laboratory testing, or a comparable technical role
Ability to read technical documentation and follow written procedures with strong attention to accuracy and data integrity
