Belay Technologies has been voted Baltimore Business Journal's (BBJ) Best Places to Work 2026! Belay Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our intel team. The JBlocks team is seeking a Software Engineer to collaborate with our developers in implementing new capabilities that support evolving data labeling requirements. Proficiency in Java development is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong software development background, capable of contributing to both development and enhanced testing initiatives. Active participation throughout the software development lifecycle is expected. We are looking for a proactive individual with innovative ideas to help the team address data marking challenges while maintaining compliance with relevant policies. The team is committed to simplifying integration of our services within user environments by remaining flexible and highly adaptable. Candidates should have the following qualifications: TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines.
An additional 4 years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree for a total of 9 years.
5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
2+ years work experience in the SIGINT, IA, or IT domains
Candidates are desired to have the following skills: Java Development Experience
Understanding of unit and integration testing
Familiarity with PKI and REST services
Have the ability to evaluate user issues, create and document tests to reproduce in development environments
Familiar with debugging code using an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) as a containerized service
Knowledge of EDH1/2, ISM, CAPCO and CUI standards
Experience Performing Development in the eVo environment to include familiarity and use of tools in the environment (GreyBox etc.)
Perform software life-cycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements.
Linux experience
Use of Gitlab, CI/CD, build pipelines
Containerize existing software capabilities using Docker
Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results
Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the application.
Excellent oral and written communication skills- able to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts.
Ability to write technical documentation including wiki sites, blogs, XML/HTML
Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet deadlines.
