Role Overview
As a Migration Solution Architect Azure within the Transformation Solutions & Technology Office, you will be the lead for application portfolio assessment, migration strategy, and modernization roadmap development across complex enterprise client environments.
Where the broader Application Architect role spans design and delivery, this role is specifically anchored in the front-end of the engagement lifecycle — helping clients understand what they have, what it will take to modernize it, and how to sequence and fund the journey. You will work at the intersection of technical depth and strategic advisory, translating sprawling, heterogeneous application estates into structured, executable, cloud transformation roadmaps.
You will be a key contributor to the Solution Engineering, Proposal development, Sales, and Platform Advisory teams — owning the assessment and roadmap narrative that creates the foundation for every winning proposal.
Key Responsibilities
Application Portfolio Assessment
Lead large-scale application portfolio discovery and assessment engagements across enterprise client environments — covering 100s to 1000s of applications spanning Java, .NET, legacy frameworks, packaged COTS applications, and custom-built systems
Design and execute application assessment frameworks covering Technical health, cloud readiness, containerization / serverless readiness and potential modernization pathways
Conduct and Lead application dependency mapping and integration topology analysis
Lead technical interviews and workshops with client development, operations, and architecture teams to supplement automated discovery data with qualitative context
