Job Summary The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Specialist will support the YMCA of Liberia – Bong Chapter in monitoring and documenting the implementation, progress, and results of its programs and activities, particularly the current project whose focuses on the YMCA youth peace service. The MEL Specialist will assist in collecting, managing, analyzing, and reporting program data to help the YMCA Bong chapter and project partners measure progress against its objectives, identify challenges and lessons learned, and strengthen program quality. The MEL Specialist will work closely with program staff, volunteers, students, community members, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure that reliable and timely information is available to support planning, decision-making, accountability, and organizational learning. Key Responsibilities • Support the implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities across the YMCA youth peace service project. • Collect, enter, clean, and maintain accurate program data and records. • Assist with field monitoring visits, surveys, assessments, and data verification. • Track program activities, indicators, targets, outputs, and outcomes. • Conduct basic data analysis and prepare summaries, charts, and reports using MS Excel and KoboCollect tools. • Support the preparation of periodic program and donor reports. • Maintain MEL databases, tools, and documentation. • Document lessons learned success stories, challenges, and good practices. • Work with program staff, volunteers, and community stakeholders to improve data quality and reporting. • Support the use of MEL findings to strengthen program implementation and decision-making. • Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical standards in data collection and management. • Perform other MEL-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
