The purpose of this position is to support clinicians in obtaining research data for clinical protocols within the DIR, NHLBI, and perform hands-on research activities such as perform interactive real-time scanning to guide MRI catheterization and flow measurements. Requirements: -Supports the planning and execution of research experiments in the context of the laboratory's overall research program. - Strictly adhere to all MR safety standards and protocols related to MR environment - Perform cardiovascular MRI examinations - Perform interactive real-time scanning to guide MRI catheterization and flow measurements - Prepare patients for diagnostic cardiac MRI examinations, and for MRI catheterization examinations - Perform post-processing of MR images to measure heart function and flow, including manual segmentation of images and data recording and reporting - Work with staff on the interpretation of experiments performed by research scientists. - Work closely with physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, anesthetists, technologists, imaging scientists, facilities staff, and veterinary staff 5 - Assist in the performance of investigational X-ray and MRI catheterization procedures on large mammals 3 - Assist in the performance of diagnostic and interventional X-ray catheterization procedures 4 - Work closely with clinicians in obtaining research data for clinical protocols within the DIR, NHLBI. - Maintain and perform staff training on scientific instrumentation, including HPLCs, microanalytical balances, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, vacuum apparatus and analytical equipment. - Provide advice and assistance to users in designing experiments, using instrumentation, data acquisition and analysis, and preparing figures for…
