Working Title: MSUAASF Range C - MAIR Student Success Coordinator Institution: Metropolitan State University Classification Title: MSUAASF Range C Bargaining Unit / Union: 211: Minnesota State University Association of Administrative Service Faculty City: St. Paul FLSA: Non Job Exempt Full Time / Part Time: Full time Employment Condition: Unclassified - Unlimited Academic Salary Range: $47,845.00 - $93,809.00 Job Description: Metro State University, Minnesota’s public, urban university, and four-time recipient of the Insight Into Diversity Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award is seeking to hire a Multicultural, American Indian, and Retention Services (MAIR) Student Success Coordinator. This is a full-time position within the Student Success division. Responsibilities: Student Success Coordination including develop and implementing retention strategies to facilitate academic success of students with an emphasis on advancing equitable outcomes and supporting student retention in alignment with the university's mission. Retention including developing, leading and participating in student success and retention initiatives designed to improve retention of students. Programming and education related to relevant cultural groups and/or general multicultural needs to aid in retention of students. This includes developing, sponsoring, organizing and facilitating ongoing education and awareness opportunities. This includes, but is not limited to workshops, speakers, trainings and large events. Community Connections and Funding Opportunities. This includes seek out, initiating contact and development of relationships with university and external community resources relevant to and with an emphasis on advancing equitable outcomes and supporting student retention in alignment with the university's mission -- in order to ensure needed connections to aid in student retention. Serve as co-advisor or advisor to relevant student clubs as appropriate. Advising includes, but is not limited to, meeting regularly with officers and club, attending meetings and events, serving as resource person for club, orient new officers or members, interpret university polices, assist with planning, make appropriate referrals and assist with other supportive needs. Salary Range: This is a Minnesota State University Association of Administrative and Service Faculty (MSUAASF) Range C position with a salary range of $47,845 (minimum) to $93,809 (maximum). Salary is commensurate with education and experience and is determined by the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (Minnesota State) and the MSUAASF organization.
