Job Title: Engineering Technician
Location: Milton Keynes
Contract and working pattern: on site, permanent
Base Salary: £45,000 with a 35% shift allowance
Shifts: This role is 3 on 3 off rotational shifts between day shift and night shift

What we’re looking for…
As an Engineering Technician , you will maximise performance across our high-speed, automated lines, driving a culture shift toward proactive asset care and reliability while maintaining strict legislative and safety standards.
Your responsibilities will include...
Maintain rigorous safety, health and hygiene standards across all maintenance and machine operation tasks.
Execute planned maintenance programs , downtime analysis, and rapid breakdown response on fast-paced automated production lines.
Perform root-cause diagnosis across PLC-controlled machinery, servo drives, mechanical systems, and automated packaging equipment.
Drive continuous improvement by integrating lean techniques and adopting emerging reliability-focused technologies.
Analyse wastage and equipment reliability data to proactively prevent recurring operational issues.
Source replacement components accurately by consulting technical manuals and complex mechanical drawings.
Collaborate cross-functionally with production , quality, and HS&E teams to optimise overall line efficiency.
What you’ll bring...
The successful candidate will have;
A completed, time-served engineering apprenticeship.
A recognised Level 3 engineering qualification (electrical, mechanical, or multi-skilled).
Proven practical engineering competence within a high-volume, automated manufacturing environment.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability across complex, automated machinery.
A self-motivated, methodical approach with the ability to work independently or within shift teams.
And it would also be great if you can demonstrate:
Experience within FMCG , food and beverage, packaging, or pharmaceutical sectors (particularly on Krones or Tetra Pak lines).
