Job Description: Department The Trade Operations IT Delivery Team is one of the teams of EDF Trading IT Delivery function. The team provides comprehensive IT custom development and support for the EDFT Operational teams (Trade Capture/Controls, Scheduling, Nominations, Confirmations and Settlements). In addition to this the team also manages the core front office Trade Capture Processes and Trade Booking systems. The team operates at the core of the ETRM process. The team has a broad range of complementary skill sets and is dynamic yet highly disciplined in its approach. Working on one of the key interfaces between the business and IT, a good understanding of the commodity trading business context in which the applications are used, as well as solid IT software engineering practices are both of paramount importance. Position purpose The team designs, develops and supports (when required) custom-built, multi-asset class applications and tools in a variety of technologies, primarily using a Microsoft toolset. The team currently has a flat structure with an emphasis on getting the job done, regardless of job title. As such, developers must be prepared to do their own analysis and testing in some situations, however they will be supported by Senior Developers and Business Analysts (BA) in the team.
